LAST NIGHT, CELEBRITIES like Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey gathered to take part in a fundraiser for the ACLU.
The benefit, which was hosted by Hanks, was streamed live on Facebook and featured contributions from the likes of Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Lin Manuel Miranda, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Tracy Morgan. All the people you’d most want to go for pints with, basically.
As you might expect, there were jibes made about President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence as the celebrities campaigned against inequality and discrimination.

Hi, I’m Mandy Moore. In today’s political climate, it is more important than ever to stand up for women’s rights. I’m not going to back down and you shouldn’t either. Because women can do anything men can. Women can spread out all over the Subway. Women can get an undeserved promotion at work. Women can loudly explain the plot of a movie to another woman.
Women can, I don’t know, fall asleep immediately after sex. Women can also six days to text back after the date. Women can give unsolicited advice. “You should smile more, you know that?” And women can wear sweatpants that they haven’t washed in weeks. Just try and tell us we can’t. I dare you. Because everyone deserves the right to be a garbage person and if we stay strong, we can be equals in a glorious garbage future.
